Conformity respects each individual’s right to personal privacy and recognizes the importance of maintaining the privacy of your personal information. We make no effort to identify public users of our site. Information that we collect is used only for server administration and Web protocol research. In addition, the personal information that you provide is used only to process your requests and provide you with requested and updated information.

This Privacy Statement has been provided to inform you about the collection and use of information from this site. We will collect and use information through this site only in the ways disclosed in this Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected and provided at the Conformity site (www.conformity-inc.com).

Information We Collect
As is typical with most sites, we collect and track site traffic information by logging HTTP requests to our Web server. This means that we know the originating IP address of the user agent requesting a URL. We also know the "Referrer" and "User-Agent" information accompanied with an HTTP request. However, we do not log the specific identity of visitors to the site. Occasionally, we analyze the log files to track traffic patterns, determine which files are most requested, as well as the previous site or user agent, which prompted the request. Our logging is passive (refer to Cookies section below).

Information You Provide
On this site, Conformity only requests personal information when you engage in certain activities on the site such as requesting additional information on our services or corresponding with us by submitting questions and inquiries. When you engage in these activities on the site, we will ask you for the information required to process your requests including your name, company, job title, telephone number, and e-mail address. You make the decision whether to precede with any activity that requests personal information. However, if you do not wish to provide the required information, we may not be able to completely service your requests.

Information Use
The site traffic information that we collect (as detailed in the Information We Collect section above) is only used for administration and researching the efficacy of our site. Logged site traffic information is kept indefinitely as administrative and research material; it is not disclosed outside of Conformity host site personnel. Aggregate (completely non-identifying) statistics generated from these logs may be reported as part of research results.


The personal information that you provide (as detailed in the Information You Provide section above) is only used to:

  • Respond to your submitted questions and inquires.
  • Process your submitted requests for information and requests.
  • Provide you with updated information on the services and topics you have selected.

Third Parties
Conformity will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Conformity will share or disclose your personal information to third parties only as required by law through subpoena, search warrant or other legal processes.

Opt Out
When you use the site to submit your requests for information on our security services, we will send you periodic communications to provide you with updated information on the services that you have selected. On each communication, we will provide you with the choice to opt-out of receiving additional updates.

If you choose to receive updated information and later determine that you do not wish to continue receiving this updated information, you can opt out of receiving these communications by sending an e-mail to info@conformity-inc.com with the word "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.

Security
Conformity has taken security measures, consistent with accepted practices, to protect your personal information. These measures include technical, operational, and procedural steps to protect your personal information from misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, loss, alteration, or destruction.

Cookies
In general, a cookie is generated by a software application on a Web site server and sent to your browser software. Cookies enable the site to customize or tailor information presented based on browsing preferences in the text file store on your hard drive. This site does not use technologies such as cookies to maintain any information on users.

This site contains links to partner and other sites. Conformity is not responsible for the privacy practices of our partners and other sites. We encourage you to read their privacy statements, as they may differ from ours.

Changing Personal Information
If you believe that Conformity does not have your current personal information, you can send an e-mail to info@conformity-inc.com with the word "Update" in the subject line and include your updated information in the e-mail message.

Changes to Privacy Statement
Conformity reserves the right to modify and amend this Privacy Statement at any time. Conformity will ensure that we notify you of changes to our Privacy Statement by posting a prominent notice on our site that specifies the date of the update. In addition, if a change to this Privacy Statement involves the use of your personal information, the notice will contain instructions on how you can opt out of such use.
